Bucky Bakes featured in Rebel Ink Magazine

January 15th, 2010

Check out Bucky Bakes’ interview with Rebel Ink Magazine “Are You a SYC FUK?” as he talks about “growing up 100% American punk” and of course.. about his ink!

“Heading down the wrong path from age 10, I celebrated my American values by trying to earn my money exponentially- the wrong way and I spent nearly two years in the hospital paying for it. But I have changed my ways, and I wake up every day glad to be alive. I decided I don’t care what people think of me, I am a SYC FUK. So I made a decision, said a prayer and progressed.

And progress he did. Marilyn Manson, Criss Angel, Buckcherry, Slipknot, Papa Roach and the Scorpions as well as Daisy De La Hoya agree: SYC FUK is murdering the competition!

A lot of these people are my heroes,” Bakes explains humbly, “when they can wear anything in the world – why would they choose to wear my stuff?

Bucky is heavily Inked with a mash up of truly rough, home style tattoos that he has collected the hard way, and long before it was cool. “You won’t find a FUK’in 5 hour Hot Topic sleeve on this SYC BOi” Bakes spits out.  Clearly hard times and tattooing come through in his unique design aesthetic. With that said like the real rocker he is, Bucky loves girls and their tattoos.

Women don’t have to be a Hollywood 75 pound junkie to be beautiful” Bakes says “and ink adds another aesthetic and dimension to a woman’s natural beauty allowing you to sneak a peak inside her soul.”

SYC FUK is American Pride and will always remain that way.  People will always frown upon SYC FUK because we are SYC FUKS. But we are also warriors, and we will battle on.

Rock on Bucky, SYC FUK, it’s the real thing.
